A full mascot kit including a Soccer Aid for UNICEF t-shirt, shorts/leggings, boots and socks, will be provided. We will ask parents / guardians to provide the mascot's clothes and shoe size on the child mascot kit form in advance, to ensure the correct sizes are supplied.

We will post the kit to parents/guardians in advance and kindly ask that each mascot arrives ready on the day in the kit provided. If the mascot wears any religious garments, please ensure they wear their usual attire and what they feel comfortable in, in addition to the provided mascot clothing.

We encourage parents/guardians to check the weather beforehand and in the case of cold weather, to bring additional layers for their child once they're in the stands.

Guardians will travel to the venue with the mascot and stay together until 4:45 PM, when mascots will be collected at the designated drop-off location by representatives from UNICEF UK and London Stadium safeguarding teams. During the match, guardians will be seated in the stadium. Once the on-pitch moment is complete, mascots will be escorted back to their guardians at their seats by a member of the UNICEF UK and London Stadium safeguarding teams. Please note that in line with safeguarding policies, mascots will only be released into the care of their named guardian after their on-pitch moment. The full mascot experience will last approximately 1.5 hours.

To help mascots feel comfortable and confident, they'll start the experience with a briefing. This will include meeting the team, learning what's happening throughout the day, what to do if they have any concerns and they will have the chance to ask any questions they might have.
Rigorous safeguarding procedures will be in place throughout the experience.

Once the medical and accessibility forms are completed, we will follow up with you to confirm any additional requirements the child in your care may have. This will help us ensure they have a positive and safe experience at the match.

In the weeks leading up to the Soccer Aid for UNICEF match, both the mascot and their legal guardian will need to attend a one-on-one safeguarding briefing with a team member. It is essential that the mascot joins this call. This will be scheduled at a time that's convenient for you. During the briefing, we will cover important safeguarding procedures, as well as any accessibility, dietary, or other specific needs your child may have. It will also be a chance for the mascot to get excited about the event, ask any questions, and meet a member of the mascot team ahead of match day. We will contact you directly to arrange this.
